Birch Class

Welcome to Birch Class Page!

Hello, I am Miss Shenton, the Teacher in Birch Class.

I feel incredibly lucky to work with such wonderful children and I am committed to creating a classroom where every pupil feels valued, confident and inspired to learn!

I also lead maths across the school and I am passionate about teaching and learning.

I’m very proud of the learning community we are building in Birch Class and I look forward to sharing our achievements and adventures with you throughout the year.

I love to read and a book I would highly recommend is ‘Resist’ by Tom Palmer to anyone who enjoys learning about World War Two, as it is one of my favourite historical periods. The story follows a young person involved in the French Resistance and is based on real events, which makes it both gripping and thought-provoking. I love how the book shows the bravery of ordinary people and encourages readers to think about courage, loyalty and standing up for what is right, even in the most difficult circumstances.
